“Great coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

Nice attentive service and if you feel the need to spend that bit more for a decent coffee, Himalayan Java will not disappoint. After a month of dodgy nescafe in the mountains it was lovely to experience a real coffee!

““Excellent Food & Service””
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Himalayan Java is must be one of the most expensive restaurants in Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal. Excellent food, very fresh. The restaurant is beautiful, but does not feel like you are in Nepal. The best service I've had in java. Highly recommend it for all....

“Western style coffee house.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

After nearly two weeks of Masala chai whilst travelling around India and Nepal this place was a welcome place to chill and enjoy an Americano, cappuccino , etc. It almost seemed out of place in the madness that is Kathmandu and was a real taste of home. We found the food to be pretty good (the cinnamon bun was particularly good even if different from at home) and the service quite acceptable.

“Good environment”

The cafe offers nice blend of roasted coffee and cuisines. Loved the atmosphere and staff. Iced tea is a must one should try here! Tables on front can be little dusty at times though as it is close to the open road.

“"Very good"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

It is an excellent place in the midst of heat, dust and people and people.... at the Durbar Square. It is soothing to sit inside and drink their excellent coffee. Good staff. Free wi-fi. Nice place to relax.
