This lovely garden provides a lovely relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Thamel. The gardens are well maintained. Cute little Squirrels provide some entertainment. Food options on site. We'll worth a visit.

Well why some reviewers complain about the price (400 rupees) to visit here is beyond me. It’s a garden lovers paradise. We loved it and could easily have stayed longer than the 1 1/2 Howe had to spend. So much to see or just sit and relax. The only thing I think could improve would be the ability to come back later the same day to get more experience. For example to come back late in the afternoon or early evening after we’d been in the morning would top this off

It will cost you 400 npr to enter, but it is a nice area, well manicured. It has a cafe that you can use, while in the garden. It is walled-in, so you have ultimate removal from the bustling city with all of its pollution and noise and traffic. Very beautiful. Great for pictures.

It costs a few ruppees to get into this quiet space which is another world compared to what is outside the walls. Voltaire is quoted at the entrance: "Il faut cultiver son jardin."
