Owner description: The Garden of Dreams, a neo classical historical garden, is situated in the midst of Kathmandu city, Nepal. The Garden's design has much in common with formal European gardens: paved perimeter paths, punctuated by pavilions, trellises, and various planting areas, surrounded by a sunken flower garden with a large pond at its center. It is an architectural landscape that encourages the visitor to stroll around and discover the Garden's treasures from many different vantage points.

A great place to spend an hour relaxing out of the chaos of thamel! The history of the place is interesting and amongst the smoke, fog, and pollution of Kathmandu it is nice to experieince a bit of a green oasis. There is so much more that could be done!

“What an oasis!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Walked from Kathmandu Guest House/Thamel area to Palace museum and fellow tourist told us about this place. We were ready for a respite from the streets of KTM big time. It's a real oasis in the city, brace yourself for a small and pricey lunch, but hey, it's a real treat. They charge admission too but worth it.

So close to the chaos, but a world of tranquility. Loved the gardens. A great place to quietly finish writing up your travel diary!

A wonderful, wonderful place in the middle of madness. Perfect place to recharge your batteries and just chill. Bring your own picnic and crash on the lawn!

“Heaven!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We were told to make sure we visited the gardens and were so pleased that we did! A gorgeous escape from the bustling city outside the walls! Although you had to pay an entry fee and for the wi fi, it was well worth the money to sit in such divine gardens. Awesome coffee and the key lime pie was brilliant!
