From pasta to pizza, the recipes specially created are not only relishing but also provide you with a fascinating insight into Italian cuisine- a culinary tour that takes you deep into the heart of italy for the mere price of a meal. This makes La Dolce Vita one of the few places, this side of the Mediterranean, where you get a savour authentic Italian cooking in a typical Italian ambiance. The excellent selection of wines from old world to new world will accompany not only the pasta and pizza but also the steaks hence making your dinning experience a memorable one. The strong Italian essence at la Dolce Vita is matched by an equally strong tradition os providing excellent services to its guests- a practice we are proud to have maintained and perfected over the years. So, if you are in for a truly exciting date with Italy in Kathmandu, there's only one sensible choice, La Dolce Vita...a delighted welcome to the sweet life.

“Excellent pasta and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2014

If the Fire and Ice is too crowded or you want to relax in a quiet italian restaurant the place in for you. Wifi was working well.

The bolognese pasta were excellent and cooked al dente. The pizza are ok. The house wine is good.

“Tasty Italian restraunt”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014

The pasta was excellent, plate size was a little small but really, tasted brilliant. Nice atmosphere inside the restraunt and reasonably priced. Thanks for the dinner!

“Good, but not the best”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

La Dolce Vita is reported as the best Italian restaurant in Kathmandu by some guides, but don't take that seriously. It's an ok restaurante. Have been there twice to give it another chance but neither the spaguetti carbonara or the bolognese lasagna ranks high. they are just ok. Go if you miss your ordinary pasta.

“Excellent soup average pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

This is restaurant tries very hard to please. The minestrone soup was excellent. They cut the vegetables and into very small pieces which gave the soup a nice texture. The terrimisu was delicious but the chocolate seemed a little stale . The pizza crust was a little cracker like but not bad but that may just be my preference. Service was great .

“Not very Italian”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

We were surprised by the high rating this place has on tripadvisor, because we found the food not bad but certainly also not very Italian! Both the foccacia and our two pasta dishes were pretty tasteless (aside from the added chillies). Restaurant has a nice ambiance but the food was a dissapointment for us.
