This experience came highly recommended as the place for authentic Nepali food and hospitality. You must reserve a table ahead of time. There are so many special amenities that one is overwhelmed with the enjoyment of Krishnarpan. The staff was knowledgeable about food allergies and alerted me to possible trouble foods and substituted a non-cream soup for the creamy soup. The meal can be served in 6, 9, or 12 courses, but 6 courses was plenty of food.

We had a delightful 16 course meal: the setting and atmosphere undoubtedly added to the evening however the food was the highlight. Course after course delivered a plethora of flavours and textures showcasing the various regional cuisines of Nepal. And it's remarkably good value to boot!

Nepalese cuisine is not the most refined or flavourful in Asia, but the way it is prepared and served at Krishnarpan does make it an unique cultural experience. The wine list is remarkable, the service outstanding, the ambiance most civilised. The only 'criticism' is the 16-course dinner (there is even a 22-course option which the person taking reservation advised us not to take!, while offering an impressive palette of Nepali coolking, is way too much food! But then, we should have resisted the temptation of great food and not finished everything that was on the plate. There is a 12-course option which wouid be ideal for most people.

This restaurant is located in possibly the best hotel in Kathmandu. There was a 6 course set meal at $32 per person. The dining room was really nice displaying and presenting the Nepal atmosphere and cuisine. The six courses were all unusual and very tasty and we sat on chairs low to the floor with cushions for support. We liked the experience because of its unusual atmosphere and different food. Its a must do if in Kathmandu!
