Cafe Mitra offers a peaceful garden with well-cooked food. I chose to eat the salmon spirali and it was good. Nothing mind-blowing, but still tasty. The bread that came out before the meal was very good though. It is refreshing to get good bread in Kathmandu. Bread is one thing that the locals have not mastered yet, but Cafe Mitra does it superbly. Service here was good, although I did not get greeted when I entered. I had to walk to the other side of the restaurant before I saw a staff member. Prices here are a little higher than at other restaurants in Thamel too. Cafe Mitra is a nice spot to dine at.
