The mansion has individual tours conducted by the Owner who actually lives in the house. You get to see every room in the house. The decor is excellent, including the "bowling alley" in the basement. The house was built in 1905 at a cost of $55,000, and includes severaly ideas and items from the 1904 Worlds Fair.

Step back in time, see a home frozen in time to the Golden Age. If possible please try to get a tour with Terry the owner of this fine home. His stories add so much to the tour you will be taken back in time you can almost see the sisters holding their parties. As per Terry try to come back during Christmas my mind my be off with the total trees but I belief he said 31 Christmas Trees in the house. They also now have a huge collection of Nutcrackers from all over the world. Also you must see the bowling alley in the basement. History just spills out of Terry and this fine home. One question I will give you to ask Terry. Who delivered their Ice if he fails to tell you? The Eisenhower boys! A must see! Never would I have believed Abilene, KS. would have so much to see and do.

It is always interesting to visit a complete home kept as it was functioning at that time. Makes you appreciate how easy everything is now.

I grew up in the area and as a child, my dream was to one day live in this beautiful home. I first toured it at Christmas with my mother and fell in love. The home was built by a doctor who traveled around selling medicines. The basement has a bowling alley - the top floor is a ballroom that they used to host soldiers from Fort Riley. You won't be dissapointed!

The mansion has a fascinating history. The tour takes you on an interesting trip, beginning in the late 1800's.
