Been coming here for years. Best onion rings ever. Good pies for who like dessert. My favorite dish is the steak strips which is dipped in the same batter as the onion rings. They offer their own home made salad dressing which isn't my thing but many seem to like it. Great scenic view as you eat as well.

On a recent trip to Abilene, Kansas we were told to try Mr. K's Farmhouse. It is a cozy, former-farmhouse that had been the location of Lena's Restaurant for many years before Lena retired. The family who purchased the restaurant wanted to maintain the cozy, comfortable, good eatin' place and they have succeeded in that desire. They also feature homemade pies, so we HAD to bring home some pie for "later on" since we were very full after dinner. My husband had the chocolate pie and I had the cherry pie. We really enjoyed this place, would definitely return if we were in Abilene again.

After a day touring Abilene we loved sitting down with a nice view of the farm while they pan fried our chicken for us. It's a very relaxing and friendly place. But let me say, it's all about the pie. And did I mention....the pie? Yeah, we were so full that we had to get our pie to go and we were very happy we did.

You get lots of food, soup and salad are included with most dishes. It is located a little ways out of town but worth the 10 minute drive. And save room for pie. They have great homemade pies. We had the coconut cream (real meringue) and the pecan pies. Delish!!!
