We were referred to Mr. K's farmhouse by by cousin who lives in Abiliene. What a treat to get off the interstate and near the riverbottom to enjoy views and gourment food. Could not have found it without our GPS but well worth the effort!

Had the grilled tilapia, it looked like it was steamed , with no flavor to it. The baked potato was warmed up or had been baked early that morning. The salad was not that much better with flavored bacon bites, (like the real bacon). The only thing that was real good was the soup. My wife had chicken stripes, she said she has had better, and her French fries were ok.

I was unhappy with the way soups were made...chicken soup was greasy & had tomatoes in it. The potato soup had green peppers in it & wasn't good for a touchy stomach. We quit going to eat here. After a couple yrs., we returned & the food was better.

Five of us (2 couples and teen) enjoyed a pleasant meal of pork chops, chicken fried steak, strip steak and chicken strips this evening. Each meal came with a cup of the soup of the day (vegetable), unlimited salad bowl served family style and dinner rolls. Everyone was more than happy with their meal as well as with their desserts - coconut meringue pie, Dutch apple pie and cherry pie. Their pie case had several more kinds available as well. Our waitress was a lovely young lady who was prompt, attentive, pleasant and helpful. All in all a very nice meal in a farmhouse setting. One suggestion however to keep the farmhouse ambiance consistent: get rid of the contemporary disc light fixtures and replace them with good ole' traditional ones. The best part of the meal was that it cost less than the tip at Beano's Cabin in Beaver Creek, CO two nights prior. :-)

Went with a group of friends. Some liked it, some didn't. I liked the Bartles & James peach ale a lot better than the fried chicken which took forever to be served.
