Like CTRedeemer this is a magnificent budhha status atop a hill with beautiful views of the valley and city, very peaceful indeed.

This place is a small drive from the Thimpu town. You can actually see the Buddha from Thimpu town. The chorten there is still under construction and is nearing completion. The hill offers some beautiful views of the Thimpu valley. The statue too is beautiful. Worth a visit I would say.

We went during the day and it was breathtaking. But going at night, now that's truly a sight to see. You can truly experience the beauty that is Thimphu from the point, with all the shining lights and the "hustle" of the city. Locals say this is a fond make out spot when they were in high school nod you can imagine why! Come at night to get a truly awe-inspiring view.

Buddha Point is one of the best vantage points from which to see all of Thimphu ... the Buddha - a gift from the Indonesians - is GIGANTIC ... but construction debris is everywhere and there's not much to do up there.
