Staff was friendly, hotel was modern and the beds were really comfortable. The gym doubles as a gym for locals, so it has decent equipment, classes and a trainer. Quality of the food was good (although you pay for it).

Location is very convenient if you have meetings with government, most offices were no more than 5-10 minutes drive from the hotel, you could probably walk to several of the meetings if you knew where you are headed.

The rooms were well maintained and would match most international standards. Would recommend it to business travelers staying in Lusaka.

This is one of my favorite hotels, period. In addition to the overall comfort, services, great food, and wonderful ambiance, it's the staff of the Intercontinental that will keep me going back. I have stayed at this hotel eight times over the last ten years, and hope to return again. Great service in high-end hotels is expected but what the Intercontinental Lusaka has to offer is genuine great service. The staff become friends, the way only Zambian people can.

Room Tip: Best rooms face the street, my personal favorite is 708.

Conveniently located world class 5 star Hotel. Rooms are good, service excellent. Food reasonably good.

I would recommend Pamodzi Taj Hotel for better value and better food quality.

Room Tip: Ask for Premium Lounge floor as you can entertain your guests (and yourself) in the lounge without having to pay for drinks and snacks available.

Dear Ashok
Thank you for the review and we appreciate your constructive comments regarding your preference in food. I am pleased to announce that the new Executive Chef replaced the a la carte menu in January; a new room service menu is starting in April and the quality and presentation of food has improved.
Kind regards

Nice, clean hotel, small pool but pleasant enough. Food was average and room service was reasonably priced. Reception can get busy and you tend to have to wait a long time to get served due to there only normally being 1 member of staff working.
