I did like the posters prohibiting taking of photos while inside. that is the bad part. the place is always crowded by school kids who are on tours.

I spent some time here to kill it, but wanted to kill myself instead. Actually, it wasn't that bad. There was artwork from the local university. I was really impressed that they had a display on evolution. The local population is religious but Zambia is the site of the find of Homo Habilis and they had some early hominid skulls on display.

There were also a couple of displays on local witchcraft and traditions which were interesting.

There isn't a whole lot to do in Lusaka, so if you have some time to kill, you can kill it here...I wouldn't go twice though.

It is a room with things stuck on the walls. Worth going to see perhaps only for the sculpture outside and the building which is quite nice.
In terms of an interesting museum- not great

Had some spare time and the previous trip advisor comments enticed us into making a visit. Would add that the gift shop has some well priced locally made items and exceptionally helpful staff

This museum is cheap (KR 20) and worth an hour or two. There is nice modern artwork downstairs and interesting anthropological and political displays upstairs -- including the mummfied fingertip of one of the freedom fighters!
