“Touch-Cabinet”
Reviewed January 11, 2012

I placed a Touch-Cabinet in the Kampala Museum as part of my MA Research Programme for the University of Ulster. I was assisted by students of the Michelangelo School of Creative Arts and we had a real fun time explaining to visitors about the importance of touch and interaction in the Museum

“Uganda museum and library”
Reviewed January 11, 2012

Some sections of the museum are very nice; others a bit more disappointing (like the one on the Olympics). You should definitely see the displays on traditional musical instruments and on the different tribes and cultures in Uganda. Also, in the same building, there is very nice library with a wide range of books on Africa, many dating from colonial times, where you can spend the day reading for a small fee.

“It could so be Uganda's showcase”
Reviewed December 31, 2011

The lack of funding unfortunately shows everywhere ... given enough budgetary support this could be Uganda's showcase for visitors.

“Uganda and the Cultures”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

The Uganda museum which is also the National Museum of Uganda exhibits the instruments of art, cultures, nature and geography. A visit to the museum will give you the insight of the people at a friendly fee. Ugandans pay as low as UGX 1000 (USD 0.4) and non Ugandans pay abt USD 1.3

It has a lot of interesting exhibitions. One of its newest is on the development of the petroleum industry.
