After struggling for years, ownership moving around from business developer to business developer, the farsighted individual that took over last year and rebranded what is now Fernando's Dine Out (but still occasionally and annoyingly referred to as the syntactically incorrect "Fernando's Dine's Out"), seems to have struck gold.
On weekends, the party is on, offering an alternative to the next door Cayenne, much more popular with Ugandans, where Cayenne mostly caters to expats and tourists.
At the same time, the quality of the Indian food at Fernando's has stayed the same. And it's finger licking good. I've eaten here plenty of times over the last year or so, and every single time, every single curry is mouthwatering.
Depending on what your fancy is, the evenings, particularly on weekends, can be a bit too much lit up by neon lights, in preparation for the late night party.
