When I heard that the Mediterraneo had opened a branch in Kampala I was one of the first to visit it. Their Nairobi restaurant (at Junction City) is one of my favourites, but I wondered if they could export success. Fortunately, they succeeded! In fact, they brought in an entire team from Kenya to start up the Kampala operation and make certain they met their own standards. Excellent Italian food, chocolate mousse as good as the Nairobi version (which is my favourite anywhere in the world), lovely ambiance, helpful staff and good service. I’ve returned more than once already!
