I've been on two trips with AAT - one three day/two night trip to Murchison Falls National Park in early January (game drives and boat trip) and another four day/three night trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park last week (game drives, boat trip, chimp tracking and crater lake drive). Both guides - Sula and Alex- were friendly, adaptable and so knowledgable about the birds and animals of Uganda. They were both great company, happy to answer any questions, committed to helping us spot the animals and birds we wanted to see and also just as happy giving us some quiet time to nap in the back of the van on the way home! They were both happy to add in another game drive or two to the itinerary to maximise our chances of sightings. Organising the trip with Sande and Robert in the office was straight forward and they were quick to tailor itineraries based on our interests. time and budget. Everything was organised perfectly and we were well looked after. The vehicle was a spacious 4WD safari van with a pop up roof which gave us a great view of the park, birds and animals. I would not hesitate to recommend AAT!

Prompt to respond, easy to plan with, organised and most affordable of other tours we found.
Executed very well.
Transferring money - either we pay the 3.5% credit card charge which doesnt include AMEX or transfer directly to their dollar account in Uganda. I was slightly apprehensive about that, but i guess they dould have build the 3.5% into the rate, saying no fee for credit card and we wouldnt be the wiser, so i guess its ok. but its a personal call.
Our guide - Moses, is very well informed of not just tourism but current affairs of Uganda as well. He was passionate about protecting wildlife and was really excited to see animals. We did the Bwindi forest (they got permits fast) and Moses took us early in to make sure we got the right group.
QENP - we saw both lions and tree climbing lions. the only thing we would change is not to go to Lake Mburo If we are going to QENP (but thats not the company's fault).
THey changed our itinerary that got us concerned but that turned out to be a better one. this ensured us that we were in good hands.
We will definitely return to do Murchison falls with this company. Sande David is v good with all the planning and promptly responding.

African Adventure Safari’s organized an 8-day trip for us last month and the way they handled things was far above expectations.
Alex was our tour-guide ,he was simply the best. He was like a walking encyclopedia, very knowledgeable on anything you can think of.
Excellent driving skills, which is not a luxury on the Uganda roads !
But even more amazing was the level of service he provided every day.
Alex showed thoughtfulness in small details, e.g. he called half and hour in advance to notify hotels, restaurants, … that we were on our way. He made sure that we were in a group to visit gorillas near by the camp, so we had walk less than 2 hours to see them
Our trip was perfectly organized and everything went smoothly, Africa Adventure Safari offer great value for your money !

I fully agree with the compliments below, I would also highly recommend this company.

Long story short: my overall experience was underwhelming, but not due to African Adventure Tours, they did everything in their powers to make it wonderful.

I did the 2-day Murchison falls trip (overnight in Paraa lodge). The national park is a true wonder, with some amazing wildlife. Unfortunately during my time there, all the empolo gomas (lions) and leopards were shy and would not avail themselves - this is a risk you have to take when you are only doing one game-drive. My recommendation to you: do at least 4 days.

My guide was Moses, a fantastic person. He not only pointed out all the natural wonders and explained everything I needed to know about the flora and the fauna, but answered all my questions about the way of life in Uganda. His cheerful personality was infectious, and the many-many hours of driving seemed much more fun with him.

I would highly recommend African Adventure Travellers. Do yourself a favor and allow some time to enjoy the park for more than a couple days.

In August 2013 we finally were able to plan our tour to Uganda.
We contacted African Adventure Travellers based on the very good web reputation, and from the beginning they gave us a consistent feeling of reliability and kind est.
We shaped our tour in order to get the best of national parks and animals spotting out of our 11 days.
From the day we moved from Kampala to the day we came back, we really had an enchanting experience of this God blessed country.
This happened especially thanks to the great service provider by Pius, our guide, who really embodied all of the good things we read about this company.
He was an excellent and safe driver, very knowledgeable about the places we visited, very kind and professional and also an interesting guy to talk to about the story of his country and any kind of subject while resting after a fulfilling safari day.
