“Murchison-Falls-Nationalpark”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

Our tourguide "Klaus" picked us up at our hostel and took us on a quick and comfortable journey from Kampala to the Murchison Falls Game Reserve. On our way Klaus turned out to be a really good spotter of animals so that we were able to see rare animals even before we arrived at the actual park.
In the park he was a fantastic driver knowing the routes and how to co-work with the tourguides. So we were able to see even those animals that were hiding in the bush.
And, besides from driving and organizing, Klaus was an open-minded, entertaining, patient and really nice person!
When we come back to Uganda, we'll come back to YOU!

“Amazing 11 Day Adventure!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

We have just finished a fantastic 11 day safari thought Uganda with African Adventures and I can’t recommend them and the country highly enough.

Our guide Alex was brillaint. He is an expert in mammals, one of Uganda’s few bird specialists and is very knowledgeable about the country and local cultures. Not only this but he seemed to be friends with half of Uganda and had a smile for everyone – this allowed us to engage with locals around the country in a way you rarely experience as a westerner. By the end of our journey we considered him a good friend as well as an expert guide!

The company and their office were also excellent, offering suggestions regarding activities and our route before we left, flexing the agenda according to our preferences/flights and organising all of the required permits (including Gorilla) with ease. Their communication via e-mail was always prompt and clear.

If you’re thinking of doing something similar our trip covered Kampala, Murchison, Kibale (Chimp Tracking), Queen Elizabeth NP, Ishasha, Bwindi (Gorilla Tracking) and Mburu. Uganda as a country is vibrant, colourful and pack with wildlife and beautiful scenery. The people are very friendly and we saw and experienced more than we could ever have hoped for!

Book a trip with African Adventures – you won’t regret it (and ask for Alex as your Guide!).

“Visit the Entire Animal Kingdom in 11 days!”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

Wow! What a trip. We just finished an 11-day safari through Uganda with African Adventure Travellers and it was nothing short of fantastic! We started in Kampala, had a wonderful city tour with Nicholas, very knowledgeable about the history of the country and the kingdoms. It was a great introduction to the country. We then proceeded to Mburo National Park, we saw zebras, impalas, topi, elands, fish eagles, hippos, crocs and more. We then went Gorilla tracking in Bwindi, we were with the Kyguriro group of 19 gorillas it was an incredible experience I will never forget. We also went chimp tracking in Kibale and got amazingly close. On our final few days we went through QENP and ran into a pride of lions eating a hearty breakfast with their two males in tow and in Murchison falls we saw giraffes, elephants, heartbeasts, kob, lions, and much much more! Now to our Guide Alex, what a wonderful fellow, a foremost birding and mammals expert, Including a wealth of knowledge on trees and butterfly’s, environments and Uganda. We picked his brain the entire trip, in the end trying to come up with questions, that would stump him. He really made sure we were always well-fed, well slept, and happy. We were. Many thanks to Alex and his team at AAT including Sande who worked through the night to plan our trip to our specifications and budget. Will definitely use this company again and would recommend to anyone travelling to the Pearl of Africa. What a great destination! My only complaints are we didn't have more time. 11-days was really pushing it for what we wanted to see. Two weeks would have been better. It would have allowed more time to get from place to place, Uganda’s roads aren't the best and x-tra long road travels are best avoided. We were helped by the fact that it was dry season, but in wet season, I can imagine it would take even twice the time. Luckily we were never bored with the scenery out the window!!

“12 Day Personal Safari for 3; 2 adults and a teenager.”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

A short review of a 12 day safari that African Adventure Travelers put together for us in Uganda. We started in Jinja with Twaha our guide and we went horse back riding, a boat trip to the beginning of the Nile and the next day grade 3-5 white water rafting on the Nile. It was an awesome start to our trip. We then sadly said good bye to Twaha and met Robert who thoughtfully and expertly finished the next 10 days of our safari. We asked to see people, culture and nature; it was a nice blend of animals and village walks and cultural experiences. We were safely and expertly taken care of by Robert and African Adventures in Uganada. the entire safari was amazing and awe inspiring. Even a stop for petrol turned into an amazing encounter with the nearby doctor at the wonderful medical clinic in Hoima. We kind highly recommend the company and their employees.

“3 Day Murchison Falls Tour”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

This was a great tour at a great value. The guides did a great job of keeping our party of 11 law students happy (thats no small feat) and the entire trip was smooth and seamless. Robert, Moses, and Ishmael were experts on the area (as would be expected) and also very knowledgeable about all the species of wildlife we encountered. And we saw lots of wildlife, none of us never expected to see sights such as packs of giraffe roaming the savannah.
We were also impressed with the accommodations. We stayed a night each at Pakuba and Sambiya Lodges. While not as extravagant as Paraa, both of these lodges are still very nice. We really liked the Pakuba location as well, very close to the game drives. If you have your heart set on Paraa, book the trip early. But if your trip is spur of the moment (as ours was since we were already in Kampala), don't worry, these guys can still deliver a great experience on a week's notice.
Bottom line - As the coordinator of this trip for my party, the fact that I saw smiles on the faces of all 11 of us not only during the tour but the entire week after, I can say that this trip was a complete success and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be using this company again if I am lucky enough to safari again.
