this excellent and unassuming little restaurant next to the busy main road is very popular. They do great steaks ( so my meat eating friends tell me) with different side dishes, including chips, saute potatoes or mash. How us volunteers used to drool at the thought of this home-made food! house wine is served in carafes. Everyone is given a free starter salad, heavy with garlic but delicious. Groups are given free portions of garlic bread. prices are extremely reasonable.
BUT, regardless of how many people there are, the food always takes a long time to come. I've been there many times in the last three years and it's always the same. If you're going in a group, have a snack before you go! That said, you can order olives etc. The kitchen is tiny and everything is freshly prepared, but suggest you either go in a small number, or go early. expect to wait an hour for your main course if you're in a group.
