If you are looking for a budget hotel in Central (but not in town) Kampala, this hotel is a great option in terms of value for money. It is located in Muyenga, 100 metres away from the ‘Rest Corner’ where you have a supermarket, ATM, and some restaurants. Also the bars and shops in Kabalagala are at a walking distance.
I have been at Kenrock for nearly two months (yes, two months!) and it has been my home in Kampala. It has clean rooms, the area is quiet (unlike Kabalagala!!) and the most important thing: the staff are very nice and helpful, always ready to assist you.
Another good thing is that you have WI-FI internet, which is not so common here in Uganda. And there is a nice garden to have some drinks or meals or just check your emails.
I would highly recommend Kenrock either for a short or long stay in Kampala.
