The trip was excellent. We spent 12 days in Uganda in 4 different areas : Bwindi forest, Queen Elizabeth national park, Kibale park, Murchison Falls park.
Treks in Bwindi and Kigale to see gorillas and chimpanzees up close were incredible. Amazing experience to stand 7 meters from such animals.
The usual way to explore the other parks is in open suv. We saw plenty of elephants, giraffes, hippos, antelopes, warthogs, etc also some lions, a leopard.
A thing to know is that guides are not allowed to leave the road in ugandan parks (as opposed to Kruger park private reserves in South Africa for example) so it can be difficult to see some animals up close (we weren't that lucky with lions for example).
Service from Bushmans safaris was good, everything went smoothly with Kate and Joseph, they were able to change accommodation and program on the spot for example.
I would warmly recommend this trip especially for gorillas and chimpanzees.

Overall we had a fantastic time. The northern half of Murchison Falls National Park is beautiful, with all the wildlife we were hoping for. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Budongo Chimp Tracking are both magical experiences; it was an incredible privilege to be on foot and so close to wild animals.
All of our guides were fantastic, helpful and informative. They all added a lot to our experience. Kate at Bushman Safaris was super helpful and communicative in organising our trip at relatively late notice.
Sadly, it seems an accommodation hiccup caused a last-minute timetable rearrangement, which meant we spent a big chunk of time driving through construction and roadworks in the southern half of the park.
Bushman Safaris organised really nice accommodations for us, and aside from the unexpected changes causing some uncertainty, we were really happy with the experience we had. We'd love to see more of Uganda sometime!

We arranged a terrific camping safari for 16 days with Bushman Safaris, a local tour operator based in Kampala. The dates were Feb 7-22, 2019. The trip coordinator, Kate Okellele, was incredibly helpful in helping us make all the arrangements from long-distance over the Internet. Her English is perfect and she was very prompt in answering questions, often within an hour of me sending her an email. Our main interest was wildlife so we visited key national parks--Kidepo, Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Mburo. We also went to Mabamba Swamp to see shoebill storks and spent some time in Entebbe Botanical Gardens where it is easy to see hornbills and vervet and colobus monkeys. The highlight of the trip was a visit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to spend time with mountain gorillas. Bushman Safaris obtained the necessary permits for us, for both the gorilla and chimpanzee treks.
We camped in tents most nights, but lodges were avialable if you'd rather not camp.
Although I would recommend the camping for a more authentic experience. That way you have a chance to hear night sounds, such as hippos grunting and lions roaring in the distance. Our driver/guide, Richard Mukasa, was top notch. He set up the camp tent in the evening and during the game drives was very knowledgeable about wildlife
and the culture of the people. I would not hesitate to go with Bushman Safaris again in the future.

Bushman Safaris arranged for my son and I to have a Behind the Scenes tour at the Uganda Zoo. It was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend. Bushman Safaris was great to work with and ensured we weee taken care of.
