“Expensive style restaurant at brilliant prices!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

If you want a quality meal out in Kampala, then this is the restaurant to go to! We went twice on our recent holiday and the food was served quickly and perfectly both times! The steak is amazing, as is the mashed potato! This is the type of restaurant you'd go to in the UK for a special occasion because it would be so expensive, but it is very well priced in Kampala!

“Lovely home cooked food and amazing steaks”
Reviewed September 21, 2012 via mobile

W were staying next door so ate here a lot. Some bad dishes is my seafood adn avocado starter and Oxtail soup. But recommend brilliant meat, superb beef stew and a good coq au vin. The wine was excellent and half the price of the Serena and twice as good.
But breakfast is just average

“FIne food with a jazz trio”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is an excellent restaurant that is a a bit out of my usual price range but is a real treat. We were there last night for a celebration and found out that there is a fine jazz trio which plays every Friday evening. This added touch makes the cost of a meal easier to digest!
The staff is very friendly and attentive and this appears to be a very well managed restaurant as well. The food was fresh and served in a timely manner. Everyone in our group of four was extremely pleased with their dinner so I would hesitate to recommend one dish over another. I do not drink but most others were enjoying wine and I am told that this is the place for a Belgian beer(It is a Belgian restaurant).
The butcher shop attached is well-stocked and worth having a look for something to take away. If you wish to splurge for a great meal in Kampala this is the place to do so - especially on a Friday!

“Beautiful decor”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Delicious food served hot and in good time, relaxing atmosphere in lovely thatched roof dining area, great service by well trained and sociable staff, quiet background music that allows easy friendly conversation. A deliteful place for an evening with spouse and/or friends.

“Good but Expensive”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

This is a great atmosphere, and they have pretty good food. Its just very expensive. Once a year they get mussels- those are pretty good when you havent had seafood in a while. It also has a butcher and bistro right next to the restaurant- thats nice. The cowboy steak seems to be a popular choice, but really everything Ive had here has been very good.
