“FIne food with a jazz trio”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is an excellent restaurant that is a a bit out of my usual price range but is a real treat. We were there last night for a celebration and found out that there is a fine jazz trio which plays every Friday evening. This added touch makes the cost of a meal easier to digest!
The staff is very friendly and attentive and this appears to be a very well managed restaurant as well. The food was fresh and served in a timely manner. Everyone in our group of four was extremely pleased with their dinner so I would hesitate to recommend one dish over another. I do not drink but most others were enjoying wine and I am told that this is the place for a Belgian beer(It is a Belgian restaurant).
The butcher shop attached is well-stocked and worth having a look for something to take away. If you wish to splurge for a great meal in Kampala this is the place to do so - especially on a Friday!

“Good but Expensive”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

This is a great atmosphere, and they have pretty good food. Its just very expensive. Once a year they get mussels- those are pretty good when you havent had seafood in a while. It also has a butcher and bistro right next to the restaurant- thats nice. The cowboy steak seems to be a popular choice, but really everything Ive had here has been very good.

“Above average food and well priced”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

I have visited this restaurant three times and I have always felt safe eating the food here. The cowboy steak was excellent, although a bit underdone for what I ordered. The vegetables were fresh and the fries were very nice. Actually, the fries were the best part of the meal.

The service is very good although they could not spilt the bill between shillings and a credit card. Every time I visit Kampala, I go to this restaurant.

Tip: At night don't eat on the porch. The lighting is poor. Ask to eat closer to the bar.
