The Grand Marché was the highlight of my trip to Lomé, I think. It's incredibly vibrant - a beautiful example of organic order growing out of something that looks like chaos at first sight - as the indoor market and all the surrounding streets overflow with vendors selling everything imaginable. Definitely the place to go for wax-print cloth, which you'll find stacked in beautiful pyramids, and fresh baguettes with avocado.
