Very spacious rooms and family orientated. The service was very good, I had a puncher and they were quick to notice and I was notified immediately, over and above that they assisted in changing the Tyre itself. Would definitely recommend the place!!

The hotel has perfect views of the Ezulweni Valley - if it is not raining :) We had a party of 7 and took 3 rooms. While you cannot yet expect a 5-star hotel in Swaziland, this one is very respectable. The service is excellent, rooms and property are clean and comfortable, breakfast is tasty, food in the Friar Tuck restaurant very good. The wifi was good, and we used it quite a bit (I did find that there were some 'dead' spots so if your speed is not good, move 5 meters).

Like BobE mentioned in his review, the owners are always around, including eating in the breakfast room, and they keep everything running smoothly. I especially like the fact that in the main building they have extra rooms (a library and some meeting rooms) which we were able to take advantage of without any extra charges.

We will be traveling back to Swaziland several times and plan on using this hotel again. Having stayed there a week, the one thing I would have liked to see is a change of the breakfast buffet options, or add 2-3 different items each day to give variety.

Room Tip: I liked the rooms on the south wing (#30-34?) as they were easy to get to.

Dear Sir

Thank you for your positive review and compliments. We are a family owned and operated business and one of us is always on the floor to ensure service meets your requirements. We will work on a change in variety for breakfast. Special orders can also be made for items to found on the breakfast buffet.

Thanking you and assuring you of our best attention.

This is my second time to stay at the Mountain Inn. My first stay in 2010 was not very impressive. The rooms were rather old (as is indeed the hotel itself) and a number of things, especially in the bath rooms tended to go wrong. This time around I have seen a marked improvement in the rooms though I am not sure if this is because I was assigned a different room or because they made some renovations. From the look of things I would assume it is the latter.
The hotel staff are all very friendly and ready to go out of their way to assist guests. As if that is not enough the manager, who I think is also the owner, is always around to make sure everything is in order. The hotel is located on one of the many hills around Mbabane so one can enjoy a magnificent view sitting by the pool. However, the location also means that once you have retreated to the hotel you can’t go out for dinner unless you are driving. There is of course the hotel restaurant which has a decent selection of food both in the buffet or a la carte but you will most probably get tired of it after two or three nights. The same is true for the breakfast which is included in the room rate.
The hotel provides free wifi which works quite good even in the rooms located further from the lobby. The room is charged around USD 95 per night and though this seems expensive for the rather basic facility I think it is reasonable given the limited options in the town. Option or no option, however, I will happily return to the Mountain Inn just for the spectacular view if not for anything else.

Arrived in very heavy wet weather with low cloud so didn't experience the view. Room was spacious, bit dated and cold. However it was clean and comfortable with two large beds. Great bathroom. Long walk to main hotel not pleasant in the rain. Breakfast and dinner, excellent particularly the choice on offer. Really enjoyed the food and friendly service.

I stayed at Mountain Inn for 6 days whilst visiting Mbabane on business in November 2013. I was given a charming poolside room over-looking the lawns with a view down the valley. The service from all staff was cheery and very responsive. The owners were around and visibly ensuring a relaxed and pleasant stay for their guests. The bar is informal and sometimes lively (but out of the way downstairs). You can choose from the buffet dinner (excellent) or a la carte. Overall a friendly, clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay (and a relaxing haven after a hectic day's work!). Magnificent views! I have already booked a room for my next two visits in December and January.

Room Tip: "Poolside" open out to the lawns and views (but there seemed to be one or two rooms right...

We arrived at this family run hotel and where warmly greeted by Patrick the owner who treated us to a welcome drink while explaining what services the hotel offered . The hotel offers free wifi and reading comments here about it being slow it was fine . Want it fast then buy it and it's fast ! We ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel food was great and service was pleasant and quick . The bar area has recently been made non smoking which is a real plus as we enjoyed about ten beers there before driving down to the casino . The hotel hosts lots of conferences and tour groups and although they were very busy service never faltered . Rooms where clean and comfortable and recently refurbished with a funky shower . Try to get a room overlooking the valley as they have the best views . The hotel also has a 9 hole mini golf coarse for kids and a nice pool . Overall a great stay , thank you Patrick for your hospitality .

The receptionist who checked us in was the most efficient and clued-in receptionist I have ever met in my entire life. I should have paid more attention to her name. The hotel has a fine view over the surrounding valley and a pool which, I'm sure in summer would be very nice but in winter was just nice to look at. The buffet dinner was very bland and disappointing compared to all the other meals we enjoyed in five weeks in Africa. I had better food at a market in Namibia. The breakfast was okay though. We had a family room which was huge.

I was expecting a tourist-oriented hotel but the hotel seems to be the focal point of the AIDS industry in Swaziland. There were at least two separate delegations of AIDS industry executives there while we were there. All net-working over their buffet dinner and having 'break-out' sessions and high-powered phone calls during breakfast.

Thank you for your positive response and for complimenting our service. Your review is important and we will certainly take steps to improve our Buffet. Al a Carte is always available as another dinning option.
We do certainly deal with many corporates and conferences, tourists also comprise and large number of our bookings, however this can be seasonal.
Thanking you
Patrick
