“Those views....................”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

Only 3 nights on a business trip to Mbabane, hotel choosen on the basis of tripadvisor reviews - and I wasn't dissappointed. Got up early in the morning to enjoy the cool breeze and the magnificent views of the valley. Room I got wasn't big or luxurious, but clean, with a good bed that made me sleep well. Pool too cold to have a dip at the end of August, but that will change with warmer weather coming. Breakfast is OK, used the restaurant once and the food was reasonable. Good wifi connection throughout the premises. Staff friendly and helpful.
Out in the country - at least that is the feeling - and still within a 5 minutes drive from the city centre. Would go back to the Mountain Inn on a next occasion without hesitation.

Thank you for your positive reviews and sugestions. We agree that balconies would make superb rooms and will after bathroom renovations embark on this project. We also note your scores reflecting where we need to improve and we will take corrective action in these areas.

It’s been said before – the people (staff and all) are extreme friendly and helpful and even it is a hotel with quite a number of rooms it does not feel like most city hotels. The Mountain Inn has got spectacular views over the deep down Ezulweni Valley and a large outside area with a huge swimming pool. If making a reservation, insist on either the poolside rooms or the south wing rooms. The poolside rooms have got there entrance from the garden overlooking the pool, perfect to sit outside with a glass of wine in your hands giving you a small guest house feeling. The south wing rooms are typical hotel rooms, comfy and looked after but no outside sitting area or balconies, which is a real shame as they have the most breathtaking views over the valley below. Avoid the north wing rooms, unless you are on business and just need a place to stay, as they got views over the parking lot in front of the hotel. A little advice to the owners, have balconies and little verandas on your south wing rooms and you will have one of the best hotel views money can buy. Breakfast and dinner is great – nothing fancy, touch of traditional cuisine, very tasty and very good.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms and south wing

I would agree with most of the reviews. This hotel is unpretentious, relaxed, clean and with marvellous views. The staff are really good and helpful, especially the manager. We unfortunately were alotted one of the back rooms (49) as space was short and the manager did all he could to try and change us but the hotel was full. The pool rooms and side rooms are clean and airy with wonderful views (room 49 is not!). Otherwise, excellent service, food was good and the place is relaxing, but it should be used more as a stop over rather than a week's holiday. But we enjoyed it

Room Tip: Ask for one of the annexe rooms facing the lawn or the pool and avoid room 49!!! (which in fairness...

I stayed here with my family. We received good service. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is well presented and tasty. We ate at the Friars tuck resturant and enjoyed a good meal. The only downside is that there is not much to do at the hotel. In summer swimming in the pool would be an option but we stayed here in Winter. On a positive note the hotel is close to everything. Try out the white water rafting with Safari trails you won't be disapointed!

The staff here is among the most helpful and friendly I've ever stayed with! The rooms are nothing terribly fancy, but they are clean and modern, with the usual amenities like DSTV and free coffee/tea. The on-site restaurant is unexpectedly great. The pool and deck chairs are adequate for a little on-site leisure, and they do partner with a travel agency if you want to do game drives or other pursuits. Would highly recommend to a friend going to Mbabane.

First visit to Swaziland and we found the Mountain Inn as we drove into Mbabane. Location is central to all the Swaziland experiences. The rooms are comfortable, aircon and all the required amenities. Check in and service by the hotel staff is friendly and they quickly assisted us with our requests. Food was good. Breakfast buffet excellent with good service and excellent views down the Ezulwini Valley. All in all good vallue for money and friendly service. We will be back.
