During the past two trips to Swaziland, I have eaten at Ramblas twice per trip. I have taken a couple of guests for an intimate dinner, and the last time, 10 guests for a large dinner. Food is great. They even have delicious sushi, which I was not expecting. Steaks are delicious, especially the fillet with peppercorn sauce. The same goes for deserts, which add a sinful, yet delightful, way to end a meal. Staff is attentive, patient and efficient. The restaurant is relatively new, and is quite beautiful. It is just north of downtown Mbabane in a lovely setting.

Ramblas has a varied selection and the meals are uniformly well prepared. Service is also good. I went with a group of 4, each of us had something different, and everybody was praising the food.

This was our first experience of Ramblas which recently moved to new premises near the golf course. Around the table, we ordered Peri-peri chicken livers (pronounced excellent) and 2 of the soups. All the soup needed seasoning, but the food arrived piping-hot and the bread rolls were great. The rib-eye main course was excellent - tender and robust in flavour. Other main courses were also praised, though the oxtail could have done with a better blend of sweet and sour (try some plum jam and vinegar in the sauce ... that's amazing!) Overall, a great meal on a cold night. I have been there during the day too, and the smell of the coffee is very enticing!

They now serve sushi, which is great. Their steaks and pepper sauce are always outstanding and the owner Jordy has just introduced dry-aged rib eyes to his daily menu. Sometimes the veggies are a little overcooked or lack any kind of flavor, but everything else is great. The atmosphere is nice and a place where you can take guests or have meetings. They even have a private dining room.
