After a long drive through the hills and villages , we arrived at the beautiful grounds of the Lugogo sun...and ...casino hotel resort. This was a welcome sight after departing the time wasting merchants at the candle factory restaurant and tourist stop just 25 minutes from this one night stop.
The reason I mention this in the form of a travelogue is because the weather was gorgeous, and this area near Mbabane was an oasis in the midst of a mountain region town.
What the hotel offers the most is the visual, ie. It is a large double winged building with a huge pool and pool deck, with associated outdoor bar and restaurant, and the kind of place to spend more time.
The rooms on either side of the building had spectacular views ,with large windogws/width glass doors.
The restaurant offers a buffet dinner which I heard from others was very good.,and, as usual, the full breakfast buffet left out nothing.
With such good weather ,we opted for dinner at night ,out on the pool deck, which turned out to be an excellent choice , with a very reasonable menu.
The bathrooms have a very bad choice of shower curtains, they do not contain the spray and it ends up all over the floor.
The corridors leading to the rooms had a tired and seedy look, but this only accented the good feeling of surprise when entering ones bright room.
Certainly a pleasant stay, and a place to want to spend more time at.

Was not a pleasant stay at all. The facilities has been run down and poorly maintained. The wi-fi hardly worked and wasn't free. The electricity in the rooms kept going off. Aircon worked intermittently. Food was decent however. Overall a terrible experience.

Spent one night here during our trip thorough Swaziland. Nice hotel lovely pool area with nice bar serving good cocktails. Hotel needs a little attention some room had safes some didn't and some of the safes didn't work remote for tv didn't work . Some of our group had a problem with electricity going off if they boiled a kettle or used hair dryer but we were ok . We were there on a Wed night when the local young people meet in the hotel bar for music and dancing. The dinner buffet at 175 rand ( about £12) was really good with the best roast beef ever . Wine was abut 90 rand . The staff were very friendly and our waiter George was particularly cheerful and helpful. Had a really quiet comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast buffet very good with freshly fried eggs and omelets available, Checkout was a bit chaotic as the staff seemed unsure who was in each room .

This was the hotel stop on our way to Kruger. Furniture needs repairs or replacement; luggage table was broken; water very slow to leave bath when showering; plumbing fixtures worn to the limit; no safe; no dryer, no fridge- bare minimum; no info on the hotel services; a run down hotel. As for the food, well , it was Valentine's day and the place was packed full; very very noisy; wine by the glass awful- we refused it and ordered a full bottle.
I guess food was OK. Service was also OK especially that day. Would not return
