I have stayed here many times when in Khartoum for work during 2009. All up i have probably stayed here for at least 2 months so I know the place well.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Have split unit AC (so quiet. many other hotsl have those noisy box ACs in the room), cable TV (but not many English channels), bar fridge, small dek etc. When I wanted a bigger desk to work on they brought it to my room.
Kamal the manager is VERY helpful. Any problems he immediatly deals with and as a regular customer he has upgraded me a number of times to a junior suite which I really appreciated. Someone said the water pressure is a problem on the top floors but I have stayed on level 5 and found the pressure fine. The other staff are also helpful and friendly.
The lebanese restuarant (Cedars) sell nice food but if you want a change there is a great little open aircafe cafe (Tutu Cafe) next door which sells great pizzas and fruit drinks at a reasonable price.
The hotel it is surrounded by small shops where you can buy daily basics and change US$. Very convenient. It is also very close to the domestic and internaional terminal which I found handy as I travel a lot for work while in Sudan.
