“I don't see the point”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

To me Tuti Island is not much different from the shores of the Niles on the mainland side. Some plastic chairs to sit down scattered next to the bridge where the boats are, and then the village is to me like any other village/suburb. This is not a maintained park where it would be pleasant to work around and see some greenery, so I just reallydon't see the point. Maybe I didn't go to the right places?

“Worth a look”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is nothing special but worth a look. You can walk over the bridge near the big Libyan hotel and have a coffee under the bridge before looking around.

“simple life .... but dont expect much”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

very very simple life .... all the taxi drivers says the hash is easily found there but wasn't my concern and didn't notice anything weird or suspicious .... the bakery by the main station "almahata" was good and very fresh, very simple life and most of the rods are mud and unpaved which gives it there own theme .... people over were extremely nice, their English is poor but they try their best and they are used to tourists.

“I Hate it”

Dusty and the people represent exactly the concept of a closed community and I think they enjoy making you feel like a stranger :(

“Tuti Island”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Very old part of Khartoum, there still exist old houses and roads. Very nice place for visiting if you want to see how people live in past.
