Papa Costas is situated in a rather run down building in old Khartoum, but what a delightful place. The restaurant is filled with art (for sale) which adds to the general ambiance. Paintings on the walls look as if they were done by the first inhabitants and had us clicking away with our cameras. The outside seating amongst plants are inviting (I guess in summer this area might be a bit hot). Service was good, but it was a bit of a struggle to get my bill. The grill filled the air with a mouth watering aroma, but was a bit dry once served. The salad served with the grills was skimpy. Papa Costas specializes in pizza and I would suggest you stick to that. None in our party was very impressed with any of the grills served, but the pizzas were received very well.
