“Excellent facility (in stark contrast with poor surroundings)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Excellent facility. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Service was good, sometimes a bit slow but overall of high quality. Breakfast was good (especially on 16th floor which offers a more quite and relaxing environment). Only one restaurant was open (The Grill) and found that the food was just average. Could not try the Asian restaurant. Nor the spa due to lack of time. Excellent internet anywhere in the hotel. Difficult to arrange for taxis to go to the city. Shuttle service to the airport available but at a steep USD 18 per person... a bit exaggerated (private "limousine for USD 33).

After a long walk along the dusty streets of Khartoum, two shots of espresso and a cookie here is great. It's a contrast to the surroundings and lots of open space inside. Staff is very service minded.

Whilst working in Sudan over the past seven months, our team has stayed exclusively at the Corinthia Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service and fine dining. So happy were we that it was never a consideration to look for alternative accommodation.

The service was amazing , rooms excellent. To recap, the rooms overlook the Nile, the view is picturesque. The main restaurant on the 16th floor serves a great spread and ambiance is perfect. Most importantly its a very safe place to be. The GM of the Hotel , Christopher gives personal attention to everything.

Room Tip: Request Nile facing rooms

Great hotel, ideal for business travel, Nice and friendly staff and excellent food choice. I had a stint of three weeks during Ramadan. During this period only 2 restaurants are available for dinner, one serving a never ending buffet (Le Mugran) and another bistro restaurant Le Grill. During the other months you are simply spoilt for choice and the prices are very reasonable....

Stayed here for 1 week (actually in February 2011).
Good quality hotel in nice surroundings. Rooms are good, service also and the gym has all you need, though when visiting warm countries I like to be able to take a swim, which is why when I returned in September, I chose the Al Salam Rotana instead, as that has an outside pool.
