“Enjoy a good stay while viewing the Nile”
Reviewed June 2, 2012

This is probably one of the best hotels in Khartoum. The room I stayed in was spacious, well kept and quiet. Breakfast was included in the rate and very reasonable. The restaurant where it is served makes you enjoy a nice, relaxing view of the Nile early in the morning. It is the view rather than the modern hotel design to make you feel you are in Khartoum. By the way, the full name is Corinthia Burj Al-Fateh hotel, just in case you look for either name (Corinthia or Burj Al-Fateh). May is a hot month with many power cuts but the hotel is supplied with generators and that is pretty helpful. Internet was provided free (wireless) in the rooms; my connection worked very well and that is another big plus in Khartoum!

After spending a horrible night in a neighboring hotel anything can look like paradise, but this was paradise. Great restaurants, helpful staff, excellent large rooms. Very good value for money. Very clean, with all the necessary amenities. Good Wifi. Very large variety of food for breakfast. They also make some very nice ham and chicken burgers:) try ordering them from Room Service. A few bottles of water each day a complimentary. A very good souvenir shop in the lobby (much better quality items at lower prices than at the Airport).

This large, comfortable, stylish from outside and inside 5 star hotel I liked very much! Spacious rooms, great food, nice staff - everything met my needs. I did not check gym, but guests said it was ok.
The sleep accessoires were very good - matress, pillow, comfortable bed. Sleep quality - above average.
Clean, quiet.
Nice, cozy business lounge at floor 6; free WiFi in the room (however I was occupying the executive room, - more expensive, therefore WiFi might be not free of charge in other rooms).
The drawback was the absence of tea/cofee maker in the room. But this is the only detail I can label as drawback.
I did not expect my stay in Sudan would be so pleasant. I recommend you this hotel, dear reader.

The bed a bit small.

Room Tip: Higher floors with good views.

I can only rate theCorinthia as a 4 as I haven't actually stayed there, so I can't evaluate the rooms or the quality of sleep, but it is a stunning building and even better from the inside !! The foyer is spacious and airy and the gift shops are very, very reasonably priced indeed. Take the lift to the 16th floor to sample the Mogran 'buffet' stlye restaurant or better still, go to the 18th and the Rickshaw 'Oriental' restaurant. The service is very good, the choice on the menu is surprisingly good and it is not ridiculously expensive either. in between, and probably bes to go there first is the Mocktail bar on the 17th floor, with a really good choice of non-alcoholic cocktails and some delicious looking cakes.
The views from all these areas over the confluence of the Blue and White Nile rivers and across to Umderman are terrific and if you're up there on a dust-free evening, the views are stunning. This hotel os wasted being in Khartoum where there is precious little tourism who who would revel in itslocation and cuisine.

The building is really nice, the service is very friendly, the rooms are big and clean, it has wifi internet connection and the indoor pool and spa are also fantastic.
The views over the Nile from the rooms are great and from the restaurant at the top floor, excellent. Breakfast is really good, with a lot of food variety.

Expected more, for the price asked, the name of the group and the greatness of the building...But overall its very nice, relaxed, service a little slow but friendly.
Huge rooms, good internet and an amazing indoor pool!!
