I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The professional conduct by staff and the clean and serine surrounding.Novotel is such a marvel.I would love to return. This hotel is ideal for business meetings, family and individual purposes.I enjoyed every moment of my stay there. There are also very good restaurant surrounding the hotel

As with all hotel chains the Novotel Dakar has a certain anonymity but it is also very welcome after many hours driving and warm temperatures. In the centre of the city close to banks, shopping and restaurants. On our arrival our group of twelve found plenty of parking for our vehicles within the grounds and reception staff quickly and efficiently had us checked in and shown to our rooms.

Rooms are smallish but you don’t need a big room to have a good nights sleep; I had a single room with a double bed which was very comfortable with lovely ‘comfy’ pillows. I did think the bathroom was too small, adequate, but too small and the separate toilets very small; space saving indeed.

The foyer is tastefully furnished in soft greys, black, white and burnt orange, with displays of Senegalese modern art and sitting areas with comfortable leather couches where you have access to free wifi. Throughout the breakfasting hours the extensive buffet is kept well stocked, wait staff are quick to respond to requests and to clear used crockery and vacated tables.

Entry from the garden and pool area to the street behind gives easy access to the well-known and popular restaurant Lagon 1.
Recommended.

This by African standards is a very good hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient and the rooms are clean and well maintained. It is a real plus to have cable tv with a good selection of channels. The pool is nice and there is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport, which is far better than chancing a taxi (these are very bad, most barely drive let alone safely)
There is a good selection at breakfast but the other food options are expensive compared to local eateries (if you dare ). As always be aware if you go outside of the hotel the locals will gravitate towards you to "assist you" (for a price), but this is the same over all of Africa. They are however friendly and dakar feels a safe place as long as you're sensible

Small rooms buy not bad. Clean and the staff are friendly. Great pool and it is located in a great place to explore out if you wish. Food is not bad for the price. I would recommend this hotel you if you were going to just be in the area a few nights. However if you were there for a week I would look at other places.

The hotel is located in the central area of the city, near to most of the government institutions and close to the port. Ibis and Novotel share the same compound and is right next to the Central bank of West Africa. though located in central Dakar, the hotel is quite and peaceful. Rooms are good, but the comfort level is almost negative. the washroom and bathroom are separate, where the washroom resembles a tiny stink hole!! (though it was not stinky) you could hardly move in there. The bathroom is descent and spacious lacks proper ventilation!! Did book a 1doubleroom with single bed, but was put in a double room with 2 single beds!! pretty uncomfortable to sleep with to top, the pillows are square!! when asked the reception to change were adamant to shift and insisted the hotel was full.. so be careful u might not get what you actually booked for. i was for a short business trip so didn't bother much. The sea facing rooms means a tiny window in the room from which the sea is visible. The place has a nice restaurant, which can accommodate vegetarians upon request. The breakfast spread is good, and has a variety of options, though everyday the same spread is served no changes in the menu

Has wonderful inside and outside bar settings, live music on the outside majlis between 7pm and 10 pm. not often but many times. nice large pool
Attitude of the reception staff, single/double bed issues in double rooms and SQUARE PILLOWS!!

Room Tip: Try booking the IBIS, it shares the same compound and you can use all the NOVOTEL facilities at a ch...

Food was very expensive. Services were regular too bad… Rooms are normal size and they were basically cleaned.
Basically too much "normal", nice stay but overrated for sure. If they don’t reduce price, i will not return.

Room Tip: nothing special to say (thats not good in my opinion)
