I stayed here twice in Nov 2011 on business in and out of Senegal. The hotel was fantastic, modern and 5 star service. The WiFi internet worked great throughout the facility and was included. I used the free airport transfer several times with no problem. The pool deck, food and evening scene is extremely nice, especially coming from a cold climate. I will definitely stay again on a return trip. Price is a bit high, but commensurate with the facility. Walk to the adjoining mall for high end shops, supermarket and theater. The big spa/health club was not open yet - supposedly Dec 2011.

I stayed at the Radisson Blu on my first visit to Dakar in October 2011. The hotel is world class in terms of facilities and comfort. Its centrally located in Dakar so relatively close to the airport and to the city centre. The setting is great with the restaurant and fantastic pool overlooking the ocean. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Wireless facilities throughout the hotel worked well although a few dead areas in the rooms. The breakfast was great although not included in the room rate. The only downside is the rates charged by the hotel which are quite expensive. There are other hotels which while not to the exact same quality are substantially cheaper such as the Terrou-bi hotel a few kilometers away. That said I would still stay at the Radisson again

Room Tip: Ask for a business class room facing the ocean

At an international standard for hotels - one of the few in Dakar and comparable to Meridien and Terrou-bi. Major plus is being adjacent to Sea Plaza (ie, walk to shops and restaurants). Downside is no beach, but the pool area is great with a nice view. No real African feel to it, so go to Almadies if you are looking for more local atmosphere. If you want a hotel of the kind you can find in the US or Europe, this is preferable to Meridien.

Overall fabulous location. The location itself, the calm, and the friendliness. The pictures on the hotel site are for real.
The breakfast might be more favorable.
