“Long Wait”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

The food was pretty average but the reason I rated it low is that the service takes a long time. We went there to eat and were there almost an hour before we received our meal. We only had a couple of the personal pizza's and the place wasn't that full.

“The most consistently good food in Niamey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2012

The food here is consistently very good, and the service is usually excellent too. I used to live close by and used it regularly for a couple of years and only once had any problem - during a long period of very heavy rainfall a waterlogged mouse came through the restaurant to seek shelter, leading to much agitation. To be fair, the manager dealt with it instantly and have people free drinks so all in all was not a problem at all. Would recommend it.

“Enjoyable”

The tribal performers were an added bonus. Food and environment were good. A nice retreat from the noise of the city

“The best Italian restaurant in Niamey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

If you like to enjoy a very nice dinner in a beautiful restaurant in Niamey you have to visit the Pilier. It is a special restaurant because of it architecture. Vittorio the owner is very concerned about giving the best quality of food to his customer. When you eat at the Pilier you can be sure that you will eat fresh and very well prepaired food, delicious at all time and whatever the dishes you choose it is always a pleasure to taste.
At the Pilier you have a lot of choice of dishes, meat, fishes, pastas, etc.
Vittorio and his team are very charming it add to the pleasure to have a good meal at the Pilier.

“Good Italian food in a cozy setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2012

The Pilier is THE place to go to when you don't want to have your feet in the sand. It's supposed to be the fanciest place in Niamey, so the drawback is that there are always some groups dining there. The pizzas are quite good and so are the pasta dishes. They have a decent lunch menu as well.
