Not only was the food great, but the service and the atmosphere welcomed us to Windhoek with open arms! Loved the collection of eclectic artifacts, hunting trophies and broken-down relics of machines past. They offed my wife help with gluten-free selections. Good beer and game meat!

Had Camelthorn Weizen x2 and a T-bone steak and 3piece fillet. We thoroughly enjoyed the beers and the food. We then even ordered dessert ... Brownies. Nice atmosphere and really a nice place to have a meal.

This was my third and hopefully not my last visit to this restaurant. Although it is massive, the way it is laid out does not give that impression and service is not compromised. Every time I have been I have sat somewhere very different from outside (last summer) to inside (this winter!!). There is a good choice of game and a main course on its own was enough for me. It is must every time I go to Windhoek.

Joes beer house has amazing food. It is very kid friendly. The staff are very nice there. They have a selection of unique meats such as crocodile and oryx

If you are in Windhoek then you have to have a meal at Joe's Beer House. Good atmosphere, service was as good considering how full the place was. Food was excellent and portions very generous. Mielie meal croquets are Delicious and pork knuckle heavenly! In winter dress warmly, even though there are big fires going it's cold.
