After all the recommendations in travelbooks we decided to go there for diner. You definitly need a reservation. Places outside our hard to get. We were not impressed by the place. Neiter the ambiance nor the food.

Not all it's hyped up to be, joe's was delightful as far as the selection of beers and the size of the menu was concerned. The cornucopia of decor amassed here is worth a visit. However we found the main courses rather less exciting (zebra, kudu, selections of different meats) and although service was charming, it was rather slow as far as drinks were concerned.

Hint: if you don't want your main course to appear literally as soon as the last forkfull of the starter has entered your mouth, order only once you're done with starters.

I've wanted to go to Joe's for several years, went there on our first night in Namibia. It was sofantastic, I was trying to figure out a way to stop again later in our trip.

The ambiance is amazing, the pictures don't do justice. Loved the no smoking section!

We reserved almost two weeks in advance and were glad we did. Our table was lovely. The staff friendly and courteous. I had a selection of game meats and love it all.

Not easy to walk to from most hotels and guest houses, I recommend a taxi to simplify things.

Been there before a number of years ago. This time enjoyed the experience. Friendly service and good food. Wide variety of dishes including a wide selection of game meats.

Every visit to Joe's is an experience. We have been there 3 times now and every time the ambience gets better, the food is wonderful and I urge new arrivals to Africa to try their specialities. Don't forget to end your evening with a tot of the "house wine"
