Highly recommend. Also recommended by Lonely Planet and used by Wild Dog Safaris, so I'm in good company!

Sigi and her son Olaf extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I stayed here a number of nights on and off between various trips, left some items in between, etc.

Very good value in my opinion, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre.

Stayed here on 3 different nights when inNamibia. We had two different rooms. The first one did not have air-con but the second had efficient system. Clean en-suite rooms , not luxurious but plenty of hot water. Only soap provided,no other toiletries. Breakfast was simple.Any additional tea and coffee had to be paid for separately. Friends who stayed in other guest houses had the choice of cooked breakfasts, free pastries and tea and coffee provided. Nice terrace and pool area. If you are looking for clean comfortable accommodation , this place is fine.

I had booked 4 nights in Tamboti's only self-catering flat, but arrived to be told that they needed it for someone else! I was allotted a room without self-catering facilities (but which was the same price as the better room) & agreed to stay for 1 night, because I needed access to their wireless broadband, before moving on to a different guest house. Next day, I mentioned to the manager (Michaela) that in the circumstances (ie., given I was having to move on account of Tamboti's disorganisation) it'd be a nice gesture if they were to pay for my taxi to the other guest house. Michaela argued with & tried to talk over me, before calling in the owner. The owner offered to pay half of the taxi fare - a bit insulting, given that I wouldn't have had to take a taxi if her staff had done their job properly.

A couple of weeks before, I'd been double-booked at a guest house in Windhoek West. That guest house offered me a free cooked breakfast & their best room at a discounted rate next time I stayed there. Tamboti clearly has less interest in customer loyalty.

We spent a total of 5 nights at this lovely Guest hotel in Windhoek. The owner and staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The hotel grounds and rooms were kept very clean, and the terrace and breakfast room nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood.

The well stocked fridge with beer, wine, water and cold drinks proved to be a major convenience. In walking distance away from grocery stores and banks and center town.

Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again next time we're in Windhoek

We stayed here twice in August - before and after a trip to the north of Namibia. The guesthouse is a convenient 10 minute walk into town during the day and about €4 at night. Each of the rooms open out onto various courtyards and there are two swimming pools. There is a self service bar which offers a wide range of drinks and its easy to order food if you don't want to go out.
We were warmly welcomed on each occasion to Tamboti, the breakfast was tasty with really good fresh bread. The rooms we had were ensuite with tv, phone etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tamboti to friends who are looking for a reasonably priced but friendly and comfortable accommodation option in Windhoek.
