I have stayed at this hotel twice, now and find it very clean, with friendly staff and an overall satisfying experience. It is situated very close to the Eros Airport, a small regional service airport, which was perfect as I was flying to the North of Namibia during one of the days of my stay. The hotel staff arranged shuttles both from the International Airport and to and from Eros. Due to my early flight I requested that the hotel pack a breakfast for me, which they were happy to do, but it was sub standard - a sandwich, boiled egg, piece of chicken and a juice. The breakfast buffet was much nicer.

The rooms are clean - I had one with a view overlooking the pool, which I think is the better side. The doors still have "old" key entry, and there is a "wireless" in the bedside table, but a very comfortable bed, and good aircon - a must for Namibia.

Dont get confused with the Safari Hotel, which is adjacent, but of a much lower standard.

Room Tip: Try to get a view overlooking the pool area.

Windhoek is one of the nicest cities to visit in Africa. It's relatively safe for an African town, there's lots to do and the city is quite nice but really small. If staying for a few days, the Safari Court hotel may be a good choice so long as you have a car.

The hotel is located next door to the Eros airport. It is unlikely that you will fly into this airport as it is mostly used for domestic and private air traffic. The hotel itself is HUGE. It seems to be a combination of hotels and each has their own check in counter. It can be difficult to find out exactly which one of the buildings your room is in. It took me several tries before I got it write.

Once I found my room, I found it was quite nice. The bed was soft and well made, the room was clean and the bathroom was in ship shape. One thing that didn't sit well with me at first was the lack of bottled water in the rooms. I found out later that tap water in Windhoek is supposed to be potable but I still used bottled just to be on the safe side. The wifi connection was fairly weak in my room and the connection was slow so no points there. Overall, it was an adequate room but I wouldn't want to stay there for too long.

Breakfast was served only until 9 am, which was a bit too short for me as I like to sleep in. As such, I was only able to get one plate before the food was removed. The hotel lounge areas were fairly comfortable and my friends and I spent a few hours waiting for our flight there. Generally, it was a good experience.

This is more than an hotel, it´s a conference centre that can take hundreds of people. Lots of people coming and leaving the hotel daily.
The main building is old but has been restored several times. The rooms are spacious and confortable. The rooms over the pool are more quiet than the rooms over the main entrance.
The breakfast could be a little better and the food is not restored when the ocuppation of the hotel os high.
There is an wonderful gimnasium free for use by the hotel guests, one of the best I've seen in an hotel. The swimming pool is also nice. Missing a pool table and a games room.
The staff is friendly and if you have any complaint you can address it to the hotel manager that is always around and worried with the confort of the clients.

Room Tip: The rooms over the pool are more quiet than the rooms over the main entrance.

The hotel is fantastic. It is of a high standard. the service there is very good. The food is very good, the swimming pool is ok nothing special but it is nice and cold.Surrounded by grass which gives it a nice feeling. There are shuttle buses organised by the hotel that take you into town. well worth staying at.

I stayed recently for a week for business. Reception arrival was functional and not very friendly. The room was clean and tidy but had tired décor and not up to the four star standard I would expect – there was a wobbly fridge but no minibar or snack selection, and it did not have ironing facilities thus requiring the guests to use the laundry service if they wanted their shirts pressed. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good, with a favourite being the pick-your-own stir fry prepared by friendly chefs and restaurant staff. The gym and pool are good but the men’s sauna and steam room were out of action (that spa staff arranged for me to use the ladies instead). Wifi was free all the time but was only issued via tickets of three hours duration each time. I had some difficulties with some travel arrangements and during the week reception became friendlier and helped me out as much as they could. Windhoek is a delightful cosmopolitan and safe capital and I had no problems venturing out by myself for shopping and sight-seeing during the day. The Safari Court Hotel is around 10-15 minutes’ drive out of town and there is nothing around the hotel itself. The local domestic airport is not very busy and doesn’t disturb guests.

The trouble starts with the location: not central and nowhere to walk to. Then you wait to check in until the front desk staff finish their argument. Next you need to connect and find out that internet access is only via a coded ticket system where you have to beg for code tickets at the front desk good only for 3 hours at a time. Even then, not all tickets or connection attempts work. The food is mediocre. Rooms are Comfort Inn standard (US) - basic and unoriginal. Finally fed up, we went for a massage, and that, at least, was marvelous. Great sauna, rub-down, and far better shower than in the room. This rating goes from "Terrible" to merely "Poor" on that one factor alone. Unless your business conference books you here and gives you no choice, go elsewhere. Then come and enjoy the spa.

Room Tip: The pool side is the better view.

I stayed here as a city break from traveling though Namibia towards Botswana and it didn't disappoint. Rooms were spacious and clean. Wi fi was good to send some emails home. Breakfast was excellent and generous. Amazing pool area and bar! If I were back in Windhoek I would stay here again without a doubt!
