Stayed here for one night in mid-December. The grounds were neat and tidy and the room was big and clean. The bathroom had recently been renovated and was excellent. Plus there was a lovely small cat named Frodo and a huge Mastiff named Tess who loved having her belly rubbed!
The drawback for us was that the bed was a small double (140cm) and with it being mid-December and 35c+ the lack of air-conditioning was very noticeable. Needless to say the sleep was not of the best quality.
The other thing - and this is just personal to me and mine - is the communal breakfast table. I find these to be laborious and tiresome, complete with all types of "travellers" swapping stories and engaging in one-ups-manship. Fortunately it was fairly quiet when we were at Rivendell so this was not as problematic for us as it could have been.
If you are looking for a nice, quiet B&B at an affordable price, then you can't go wrong. Just be aware that it is not among the higher end B&Bs that can be found in Windhoek, although it is nice and comfortable in its own right.More
