I stayed for 3 nights. I requested airport pick up and was met on time by the driver. Good service, Clean comfortable rooms. Good food. Internet worked well but there is a fee. What else do you need? Only down side was an issue with service of the mini bar.

The Hilton Windhoek is a reasonably comfortable business hotel. I had a few issues connecting up to the (paid for) wifi, but the staff helped me out. The staff were pleasant, ready to help and polite. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the conference facilities more than adequate. A limited choice in the restaurant, but in the grand scheme of things its a small hotel in a small town and well placed in terms of access to the business community of Windhoek. If I returned to the city, I would stay again.

This Hilton does not fall short of expectations you can have of a good business hotel and even provides you with a bit more services than the usual hotel.
Very nice room with good facilities.
One issue is the price which seems to be the highest in Windhoek for a night. Beware, the Internet is available but is extra ! I tought that at that price, it could have been included.
So is the parking !
Dont forget to use the gym and /or the pool on the top floor in the morning to start a great day.
There is a lounge bar with jazz bands playing every night + a very good restaurant that attracts people from the town. Try it : their beef filet medium rare was excellent and service was slick !

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after flying in from Johannesburg. We took a taxi from the Airport and paid ZAR 280 for 2 persons for the ride to the hotel.

The hotel is of Hilton’s international standard, strategically located near the Independence Avenue, the centre of the city’s activities. There could not be a better location than this.
We stayed on the 5th floor and our room was perfect, as can be seen from the photos we have posted here. We agree with all the previous reviews about the high standards of the room and the great views from the rooftop, so, we will not repeat them again.

Our only complaint is against one of the staff, and unfortunately, we have to air our concerns here as there is no other forum for us to do, to ensure that this issue comes to the attention of the person in charge and not deleted and sent to ‘trash’ should we address it as a general email to the hotel.

On our final day at the hotel, we have asked the front desk staff by the name of Anna Massauwe, to assist us in booking a table at and a taxi to the famous Joe’s Beer House Restaurant. She assured us all will be arranged and we should just come down to the lobby at our appointed time in the evening and the taxi will be there for us. When we came down in the evening, we found out that she had booked for us a taxi to go to a restaurant called O Portuga instead!! We told her off for doing so and due to her doing, when we finally arrived at Joe’s without a booking, we had to wait for about an hour for a table and another 30 minutes for our food!!

We are not sure whether this Ms Massauwe gets a commission for referring guests to O Portuga but for a hotel of Hilton’s standard, we did not expect this kind of behaviour from their staff! This was not a mere oversight and there was no language problem in our communication with her. We communicated with her in English, which she was fluent in, and “Joe’s Beer House” sounds VERY different from “O Portuga”. There could not be any mistake in that.

We were not able to channel our complaint to the hotel’s management at that time as it was very late by the time we finally returned to the hotel and we had to check out early the following day. We hope the hotel will look into this serious misconduct of one of their staff so that incidents like this do not happen to other guests in the future.

Other than this unfortunate incident, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will have no qualms in recommending it to other travellers.

Have stayed several times at Hilton since it openned. Fantastic rooms and food. Bar and pool on 9th floor are excellent. Still don't understand why have to be charged extra for wifi and parking. I hope this will be resolved soon.

We stayed here several days on three different occasions as we traveled around Namibia in January. The rooms are great, the food is exceptional, the service was excellent and they have a lovely rooftop pool and bar with wonderful views of the city. The beds are wonderful too! Although there is a definite German influence in Windhoek (actually the entire country), we liked the Hilton as there was a very culturally diverse clientele staying in the hotel.

It is in the heart of the city, close to shopping and a weekend open-air craft market. I wouldn't say that Windhoek is a hopping city, but it is the capitol and largest city in Namibia and it is centrally located in the country. We heard there were some interesting evening shows, but we pretty much stayed close to the hotel. We felt very safe around the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the higher floors...great views of the city.

Stayed here for 1 night on our 1st night in Namibia, we didn't get off to a great start as I had pre-booked an airport pick up with the hotel that didn't show up. For a chain with the reputation as the Hilton I was very surprised at this oversight. It's also quite daunting to arrive in Africa and then have to try and arrange a taxi. Anyway the hotel were very apologetic and upgraded our room to compensate. Apart from that it's a great hotel, the rooms were spacious and luxurious and a real highlight was the fantastic roof top bar and pool. Had a great atmosphere and seemed very popular with the locals. We ate at the restaurant which was also very good. For 1 night I was happy with my choice of hotel. I would only suggest to re-confirm airport pickups just before you set off on your journey.
