Stayed here one night. Found the location great. For a guest house this was a very nice place, with a pleasant atmosphere, clean and big rooms, with high ceilings, beautiful polished wooden floors, a good combination of modern and old school decoration, good linen and new bathroom.

Would stay here again. Breakfast is basic, but good if you want something quick and simple.

Cleanliness, Comfort and safety is on point, but i was very very dissapointed by the limited breakfast buffet(1 cereal, 1 type of youghurt, fruit salad , brown or white bread, eggs, tea, coffee and Juice), so be prepared to have an early lunch. The staff is very friendly, we arrived late and they offered to order fast food for us. The television channels very limited and all are in portuguese, could'nt catch up on world news.

Stopped here at the end of a long business trip before leaving Moz. Booking was easy and contacting reception to let them know I was arriving late was trouble-free. My room (no. 6) was awesome - huge vaulted ceilings, great bed, ocean view and fantastically decorated. en suite was clean and spacious - it felt like a true B&B run by artists. I stayed only two nights and was not in need of much support from the staff - who were around, friendly and available if needed but by no means hovering. Breakfast was awesome - buffet plus a la carte. I ate too many croissants, and relaxed on the veranda in the backyard, which will shortly have repairs finished on an amazing pool. Great value for money!

We were booked into this guest house by a relative so that we would be near her in the popular ex-pat area of Sommerschield. An added bonus, we found out later, is that it is one of the few houses in Maputo designed by the famous architect Pancho Guedes. The owners are really into art and the whole building is beautifully decorated. During our stay an art exhibition opened and we were invited to the party.
As to the accommodation, our room (Room 6 top floor) was absolutely spotless as were all the common parts. It was a large room with a television with a good selection of satellite channels. The room comes with an en suite shower and wc but an added bonus was that just next our door was a communual shower and extra wc which came in handy!
The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. A basic but fine buffet-style breakfast was included. The only extra cost was for Nespresso coffee which was a delight to find. (Other coffees included in the room cost). A selection of Nespresso capsules were brought out on a tray for us to choose - charming.
There is a small pool outside in the garden which has some seating and a couple of loungers.
Really the only negative for us was the traffic noise from Julius Nyrere Avenue which the house backs on to. The house faces a quiet street (with good 24hr security) but to be on the safe side, we advise going equipped with ear plugs. This really was the only down side to this excellent value and attractive guest house and may only affect rooms at the back.

Room Tip: Room 6 is a generous sized room on the top floor with en suite shower and wc but beware of traffic noise. Ask for room facing front of house.
