This was the first place where my office arranged for a meeting and stay. This was the first place i took my New Prado Landcrusier for trip when I bought it.The lodge was the construction quarters and is about three kilometers from the barrage. It is also towards the border of Swaziland, often I use to take via Goba than via Namacha. This barrage provides the water to the Maputo city, so except for croc's there hardly any other activity not even boating. Scenic view is fantastic - there is a rail line which rarely functions. From certain high points around the barrage you can see faintly the skyline of Maputo even during day. In clear sky nights with no moon zillion star skies can mesmerize a person. This was a place to drive for a lunch and have a beer in one of those small baraca's where locals get amused why a person having an expensive car stops in a cheap shop to have beer and snacks.
