“Spectacular drop, lovely surroundings”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

You get here as part of your visit to the Coloured Earth, it's included in the same admission price.
When we visited in January, the falls looked very much like the picture. It's one of the highest falls I've ever seen; the water drops a long way free of the ground, in so many other falls the water simply pours down a steep slope. In addition the surrounding scenery is very pleasant.
Although the attraction closes at 6pm, we were not allowed to go up to the higher viewpoint at 5.30pm, so do visit this before going onto the Coloured Earth.
We actually left our car at the waterfall and walked on, as I wasn't sure if the road had a good surface (it does). The walk was very interesting, through a range of fruit and palm trees (sadly none were labelled).

“Waste of time... If its summer”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

During summer the waterfall hardly has any water. More like a one year old taking a leak. Not worth taking the pains to go to this place. Use this time wisely to enjoy the spa and complimentary sports activities or to go for one of the paid sports activities. This attraction is covered as part of your "South Tour".

“Beautiful waterfall and viewpoint”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Up a rather windy narrow road is a beautiful waterfall and viewpoint. Worth a quick stop on the way to the coloured earth

“Good for special family photographs”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

There are two viewpoints for the waterfall, one near the car park and all the signs. However the view of the bottom of the falls is obscured from the lower point. Take the flight of steps or the sloping paths up to the top viewpoint for the best views of the waterfall in its entire drop. However since the waterfall is fed by two small rivers the overall experience depends on how much rainfall has occured. I have been many times and have seen it just a trickle and on others it is like a torrent. It is a natural environment and subject to rainfall etc. Yes there are mosquitos around but you are in the middle of the countryside of the national park area so any form of life should be accepted.

“Nice, but there are better waterfalls in Mauritius”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

If you're going to see Chamarel it's worth stopping here, but I preferred Rochester Falls or the falls at Eureka house.
