The Appaloosa has both a bar and restaurant side, seperated from one another, the menu is the same for both. The bar side is where the ambience reigns supreme, while the restaurant side allows for a quieter - romantic - dinner or business meeting. The calzone is the best in Mali, and the 18oz Canadian beef rib eye was great. The menu is varied, from tex mex to pizza. The local Nile carp (called capitaine0 is served grilled or on brochettes, it is excellent. The waiters are all friendly, the bar staff are attentive and easy to talk to. Many ex-pats frequent this restaurant. Highly recommended for an evening out.
