Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako

The rooms are very clean with new bedsheets, strong A/C and no mosquitos at all. Most rooms have a view of either the large and clean pool or the neighborhoods behind the hotel. While the meals are a bit expensive, most everything is expensive in Bamako. The pool is wonderful and the gym has a full set of weights, treadmill, yoga mats, rowing machine and etc. If you're trekking around W. Africa, this is a real treat to charge up before heading out. And the folks working here are wonderful and detail oriented! Wifi was great as well.

I asked once about mosquitos after reading other reviews, the staff got very concerned and explained there should be no mosquitos. I have been here over a week and have not found ONE mosquito in my room during the entire period.

Undoubtedly the best hotel in Bamako. European standards are definitively nice to enjoy in Mali.
The staff is warm, professional and helpful. The room is clean, bright and cosy.
We enjoyed the pool under this latitudes.
The restaurant offers quality and tatsy food of wide variety.
Some mosquitoes spoil the picture but nothing insurmountable.

A nice clean hotel built and maintained to European standards which is nice to find in West Africa.
The food in the restaurants was nice if a little costly and the bars had a nice buzz on the weekend.

The room was very nice and clean and very comfortable. The pool area is very nice but a little noisy but then it it right in the middle of the city, The pool itself is very nice if on the small side.

They are currently having some building work done so be mindful of that as the view from my room was of the building site!

Room Tip: If you want a view other than of a building site then get a room at the front of the hotel (May/June...

There are several strong positives to staying at the Radisson Blu, the staff at the reception desk speak very good English in addition to French and Bambara, and are both professional and helpful; the hotel is located out side the bustle of down town - a quieter location; and the equipment in the gym all works! A nice added touch is an electric kettle in the room that allows you to brew your own drinks.

If there is a downside it is the somewhat limited menu, that is a bit pricey.

Spacious rooms, good service, decently equipped gym, helpful staff and centrally located. The only slight shortcoming is thin spread of menu and bar stocking but a good breakfast spread over shadowed this weakness

It's not going to get any better than this in the dusty capitol of Mali. We arrived from Casablanca in the dead of the night and were a bit alarmed when we drove down dirt roads to get to the hotel. I seemed as if we were not heading in the right direction. In the end we were happy to check in after a long flight. This is the closest thing you are going to get to a western stye hotel in Mali. The rooms and bed were clean and comfortable. Don't expect luxury, this is the Mali version of the Radisson Blu. We stayed here two times, once at the beginning of our trip and once at the end. I'll have to say it seemed luxurious at the end of our trip after spending 2 weeks traveling through Mali.
