Stayed there for 4 nights..the hotel has its good and bad side:

Good

1. Located close to shops
2. Competitive price by local standards
3. Large, clean and carpeted rooms
4. Very helpful reception staff
5. Good pool and an ok gym

Bad
1. Breakfast is pathetic--recyling/reheating the same over-salted food daily
2. Bathrooms have NO ventilation or extractor (especially Deluxe rooms)
3. Though clean, the rooms are tired
4.If you pay in Malawi Kwacha, you will have different room charges per day given the fluctuating exchange rate (this may sound like a rip off)

In short. the hotel is a good alternative for short stays

I found this hotel a good location easy for business meetings in the central area of Lilongwe.
The hotel is located inside a commercial area nearby supermarkets, restaurants and shops. The hotel was clean comfortable I did stay in a room at the back of the hotel, which was quite hot (the AC was noisy) but didn't really experience any noise during the night as others with rooms over the swimming pool have said.
The room was quite large with a nice bathroom with tube and shower. Very good breakfast with fruit and continental dishes. The coffee was just horrible but this a general issue in East Africa.
Can definitely recommend this hotel

I would like to say that the staff front of the reception was very kind and helpful. The hotel itself is look like a labyrinth, I think it is because of expanding hotel building. The hotel was very safe. Rooms were clean enough. Breakfast was not bad but coffee was excellent. Restaurant was average. You should not forget close your windows if you do not want to sleep with mosquitos.

I have stayed here 3 times over the last 3 years.for the price we pay, it is great value. The location is in a shopping area, hence you have plenty of eat out options. The rooms are average, but clean. Bathroom needs improvement breakfast is good. Copper pot restaurant is again good value as we paid about $20/- for a dinner for 2

Stayed here for a night before heading to the lake. Good location- bit odd when you pull into a petrol station to get to the hotel but don't be put off, when you get in its actually very nice with a lovely peaceful garden area. Very close to old town which is worth exploring. we were here only for a few hours so we got a local taxi driver to take us for a drive. expensive but our own fault for not agreeing the price before. Rooms are ok- clean but tired like so many hotels in southern Africa. Ate in the copper pot restaurant which was excellent. Good breakfast too. Special praise to Linda who saved our bacon when we left important documents in our room and she sent them to the airport in super quick time so we could get our flight ! Thanks a lot

Stayed here in lilongwe for a couple of nights before heading to the airport. Great hotel for the asking price and no complaints reguarding the rooms, food and facilities. The wifi works really well in most rooms and the lobby area. There is a gym and swimming pool as well. The copper pot restraunt within the hotel grounds is fantastic. Really nice indian and chinese food and fantastic pricing for the meals. Without a doubt its worth the money for both the hotel and the copper pot restraunt. If your staying in lilongwe i highly recommend you stay here! Unfortunately their is no alcohol avalible in the hotels shops and supermarkets but you can buy so booze across the road at the petrol station haha!
