What a find! A stylish, elegant house run by a stylish, elegant lady. Tucked away in a quiet spot yet easy for everything, just what you need in a place like Tana. My room was
cosy and quirky, the home-cooked food was superb and Aina herself was so interesting to chat to, a lovely person. I would think about going to Tana for another couple of days just for the pleasure of staying there!

Chez Aina- Clean towels, spotless, beautifully decorated and warm home, that I would recommend to a dearest friend finding their way in this bustling city- Truly this was a magical garden gem!

After a week of beach and Island exploring in the North of Madagascar, myself and my partner found ourselves in the stark opposite, hustle and bustle of Antananarivo. The drive from the Tana airport to Chez Aina takes about 40 minutes and due to it being a Friday "5pm" traffic excursion, we were able to enjoy a scenic and slow experience of the city- I will not concentrate on my thoughts of Tana, but instead on the "refuge" that we found ourselves in, when entering the somewhat "fairy garden" that was 'Chez Aina".

Aina herself was a gracious host, with a warm welcoming spirit that has evidently overflowed into her immaculate, clean, warm and beautifully decorated guest house. She offered us dinner, and advised us on her favourite restaurants. Our transfer from the airport was arranged and we felt safe, happy and utterly flabbergasted at the little haven that Aina had created in a city that is somewhat chaotic.

From a rather "fussy" girl in Cape Town, this little gem comes highly recommended and fulfilled all my "fussy" boxes! I will definitely go back should my travelling require!

I stayed at Chez Aina for six weeks in November and December. It was the best decision I could have made. Aina and her staff are not only warm and welcoming, but they are incredibly thoughtful and efficient. Aina herself is a fountain of information about Malagasy culture as well as practical advice for traveling around the island.

You also get the best of both worlds at Chez Aina. The guest house is also situated in the heart of Tana, so you can get around to most places around town relatively quickly. But it's also tucked away in a secluded street that shields it from much of the noise and pollution of downtown. The gardens also help to provide a beautiful setting for relaxing or working. Aina and her staff also provide delicious meals that you can enjoy while meeting travelers from other parts of the world.

This is my second stay with Aina. I just love the place. The rooms are clean, breakfast and diner are delicious and the location of the hotel is ideal - in the middle of town between a little away from the mainstream traffic -. But what I prefer there is Aina's incredible capacity to make you feel home. She is full of great advice about what to do, where to go and where to eat. This is a hidden gem in Tana.

Chez Aina is a wonderful, peaceful escape from the hubbub of Tana. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms are elegant and clean, and Aina is very charming and welcoming.

Aina is fantastic hostess, she makes all her visitors feel at home. She helped us find find our feet in Antananarivo, even joining us for nights out on the town. The location is great, close to the centre and the old town, and the house and garden are beautiful. There is a choice of rooms - including a small hostel with its own kitchen for budget travellers. Evening meals available on request - some of the best Malagasy food. I stayed there for almost 2 months and would certainly recommend it!

Chez Aina was a super place to be in Antananarivo, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Within walking distance of downtown it was simple to see the sites in the town from the charming guest house but relax in the quiet location. I would recommend the home from home atmosphere and welcoming nature of Aina. The home prepared food was excellent and chosen daily.
