“Delightful visit”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We arrived at the park late one afternoon. Even though the park was still open for yet an hour, the lemurs had already retreated to non-visible areas. The staff, told us to come back the next morning which we did. And, we're glad we did.

The park is some distance from the city.

This was a great experience to see many varieties of lemurs; we got lots of great pictures.

If you get there right when they open, you're likely to get a personalized tour. Don't expect to use a credit card - bring cash for admission; they have no electricity out there.

It's nice to tip the tour guide - they do a great job.

“Enjoyed the drive out, but not the park.”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Having spent several days traveling in Madagascar, viewing Lemurs in their natural environment, we did find Lemur Park to be disappointing.
We enjoyed the drive out of Tana, through the suburbs, watching how people live their daily lives, far more than the actual visit to the park. Whilst some Lemurs are obviously being rehabilitated and have been relocated from their natural environment, cannot say we enjoyed the experience.

“Lemur park, Antananarivo, Madagascar”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

On the outskirts of Antananarivo. Good, friendly guides to show you the different Lemurs, plants and reptiles. a Good park to visit if you can't get to any of the national parks. They are doing a very good job of educating the children of Madagascar and teaching them about their own animals and heritage!

“Lemur park - a very must in Tana”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

With both English and French guides at the park, if offers some of the best and 'Up-close-and-personal' experience of the Lemurs.... If you are lucky, you may get to see a few of the Madagascar endangered Chameleons... A in-house restaurant, offers a few good dishes... dont forget to stack up / charge up your cameras...

“Lemurs everywhere”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Lemurs Park is a little out of town but the drive there is worth it as your stare out to beautiful countryside and clear skies and artistic looking clouds.

We had a great guide and enjoyed a chat with the craftshop crew. A wonderful memory running around looking for the elusive "King Julian" lemur. Worth checking out!
