“Lemur park - a very must in Tana”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

With both English and French guides at the park, if offers some of the best and 'Up-close-and-personal' experience of the Lemurs.... If you are lucky, you may get to see a few of the Madagascar endangered Chameleons... A in-house restaurant, offers a few good dishes... dont forget to stack up / charge up your cameras...

“Lemurs everywhere”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Lemurs Park is a little out of town but the drive there is worth it as your stare out to beautiful countryside and clear skies and artistic looking clouds.

We had a great guide and enjoyed a chat with the craftshop crew. A wonderful memory running around looking for the elusive "King Julian" lemur. Worth checking out!

“Guarantee for lemur seeing”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

It's a quick drive from center and a quick tour see them all
The guide will tell all you want to know about lemurs and its a little bit more interesting than seeing them in trimbamzaza zoo cause they are in the wild.
Good place to go for photographers.

“There are so many other places to go see lemurs in their natural habitat...”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Good for business travelers who hop in - hop out of the country and have only 3 hours for sightseeing. If you have at least a day to spare - go to Andasibe. There you can see two national parks, a lemur island where lemurs actually jump all over you and a croc lake. At the lemurs park, you will see nothing but a narrow stripe of land where lemurs do not look happy at all.

“How to see lemurs if you're short of time”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Lemur park is a pleasant 30 minute drive from the centre of town, situated on a bend in the river.

Apart from the rather depressing Tsimbabaza Zoo it is the nearest place to see these delightful animals in a near-natural setting. If you only have a day in the capital this is the place to go to. Other reserves such as the excellent Asdasibe are too far for the traveller with limited time.

The staff are friendly and knowledgable and, with their help, you can really get very close up to the lemurs. There is also a simple snack bar in the park but a couple of other places on the way where you can get a full meal.
